Pelosi: Remaining $350B will be better spent
Source: AP

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she's confident that the remaining $350 billion in federal bailout funds will be better spent under Barack Obama.

The California Democrat said "things will be different because we will have a president who will enforce the law." She spoke Wednesday on ABC's "Good Morning America."

Obama is pressing Congress to allow his administration access to the second half of the bailout program, known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program. The Bush administration has been criticized for a lack of oversight in how the first $350 billion of the money was spent.

Pelosi says the bailout spending under Obama will be more transparent.

1. So she's suggesting Bush hasn't been enforcing the law?
Don't piss on me, she (amongst other things) said "impeachment is off the table".

So he has done no wrong in her eyes.

Now she is saying she has?

Call me confused.

7. Didn't Obama suggest his first veto would be on this issue if Congress
puts too many restrictions on how Banks can spend the money? I am pretty sure I heard that on the news..

4. WHAT law?
Maybe I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that selected financial institutions were given the TARP money with NO STRINGS ATTACHED. So, if they were to spend it on private jets to luxury resorts where they throw lavish parties, exactly what law would they be breaking?
