S Asia reporters 'at severe risk'

Rising violence in South Asia is putting journalists at "severe risk", a US-based media human rights group says.

The Committee to Protect Journalists lists nations where reporters are regularly attacked or killed.

In the committee's list of 14 leading countries where the authorities had failed to solve murders of journalists, six were in South Asia.

This year has seen the high-profile murders of a Sri Lankan editor and a Nepal radio journalist.

it isn't the journalists but the TV watching, Radio hearing & the newspaper reading public that is at 'severe risk' because of the shitty reports that these journalists produce.

A-class dung which is fit only for bio-cooker. If someone doesn't believe, come down to India and watch the news channels as they trip each other with "BREAKING NEWS" every 3 mins; "EXCLUSIVE" features once every 5 mins; hyperventilating anchors 24x7 and zero content ...
