Buffett Says Bush Tax Cuts Favor Wealthy
http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/040307/buffett_bush_19.html

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- Billionaire investor Warren Buffett accused the Bush administration Saturday of pursuing tax cuts that favor large corporations and wealthy individuals.

"If class warfare is being waged in America, my class is clearly winning," Buffett said in Berkshire Hathaway Inc.'s annual report.

2. I like the preemptive 'Class Warfare' line.
Very shrewd. Warren's a very bright guy... and he's on our side. Too bad he's not putting his money where his mouth is, like George Soros.

3. He testified against repealing the "death tax"
If I am not mistaken. Guys like him don't get rich by making decisions on idealogy or being beholden to a singular philosophy. The take in data and analyze to come to a conclusion not the other way around.

5. I just love the counterattack of "playing it like a fiddle"
The tax code is the taxcode and mot taking full advantage of it would be plain stupid, which he is not. He is just stating that the code is wrong but I would assume that he will file his taxes according to the code until or if it is changed.

7. As would I...
When Clinton came into office, there was a news item about how his wealthier supporters moved their investments around to better protect themselves from the coming increased taxes on the rich.

They did the right thing politically and socially, but covered their asses according to law afterwards.

I don't blame them at all.

Buffet has been a friend to thoughtful financial logic for a long time. He is no friend of Bush and no enemy of ours.

8. He's been saying it from the start
also testified AGAINST repealing the inheritance tax.

We need to stop dissing those who help our cause, or at least try to.

10. We need to be dissing the cadre of wealthy persons/large Corporations
who knowingly benefit disproportionately to the detriment of society, but don't step forth with their critical commentary as Warren Buffet has. But there I go thinking this should be a perfect country, if not world: even so, it's a shame a few other voices are not being heard loudly and clearly.

9. I love Buffet
He's one of the richest people in the world, so he's obviously pretty selfless to point this stuff out.
