BREAKING NEWS: Jenny Sanford filing for divorce
Source: WCBD-TV Charleston SC

"“As so many of us know, the dissolution of any marriage is a sad and painful process. It is also a very personal and private one. Because Mark and I are public figures, we have naturally had less privacy with which to deal with our difficulties than do other couples. Indeed, I know it will soon become known so I choose to release this brief notice that I am now filing for divorce."

28. I spent my youth fighting pampas grass
A weed in our neighborhood introduced from the Pampas, Argentina. Buzz Clik played the pun correctly. I had to be the pompous ass and point out the word sew should been sow.

5. last nail in the coffin. mark has officially been thrown into the dust bin.
the chances of that fool being reelected while at the same time going through divorce proceedures is slim to none.

And I have this sneaky feeling that the more he tries to play it down, the more Jenny will play it up.

She has the dough to spend on making sure he can't get elected dog catcher.

13. I think she probably tried
for the sake of the kids. Unfortunately, emotional abandonment is a little more final than simple physical infidelity.

Once the asshole came out with that "soul mate" crack, we all knew it was over.

I hope she and her sons can find peace.

I hope Sanford gets everything that's coming to him. In spades.

Therefore, she and her children should be publicly humiliated by her husband's rampant infidelity. It's all her fault, isn't it?

That'll show her, won't it? :sarcasm:

But David Vitter=still married, and Eliot Spitzer=still married.

Need I mention too that Sanford voted to impeach Clinton and once seriously thought of being in the same office that Clinton held for 8 years that had a growing economy and peace?

Sullivan’s Island – South Carolina first lady Jenny Sanford released another statement today, this time blaming her husband’s affair on the declining moral values in America.
Jenny Sanford (right) and SCGOP chair Karen Floyd are both outspoken opponents of gay marriage.

Jenny Sanford (right) and SC GOP chair Karen Floyd are both outspoken opponents of gay marriage.

“Of course I’m not saying that Mark is gay,” Sanford said, “but he may as well be. The moral decay in this country has claimed another victim and this time it was my family. Our marriage was perfect until these laws started passing around the country. Clearly the slow dissolution of the sanctity of marriage in America seeped into Mark’s psyche until he no longer felt compelled to

Which is at least a notch up from doing it for power or pure sex. He really did give up everything for love.

40. Good for her. She's doing a good thing for her sons
They need to see that humiliation of women is nothing that should be forgiven or even forgotten.

Too many boys grow up watching Mom get mistreated by their Dads, and end up grow up thinking that women are belongings..not people...and that they will endure anything, just to "keep the family together".
