(Dr. David) Kelly doctor cautioned for breaking GMC rules: New cloud over pathologist
Source: daily mail UK

Fresh questions were raised last night over the professional conduct of the pathologist who performed Dr David Kelly's autopsy.

It has emerged that Nicholas Hunt is still under a five-year warning for breaking General Medical Council guidelines.

He was given the caution for using a seminar to show photographs of the mutilated bodies of three Royal Military Police killed in Iraq in June 2003.

...

He described the government scientist's death as a 'textbook' suicide and illustrated his opinion with evidence not heard at Lord Hutton's public inquiry into Dr Kelly's death. It has now come to light that Dr Hunt did not have authorisation to speak publicly about the post-mortem report and may have broken official guidelines again.

These state that a Home Office pathologist 'must preserve confidentiality unless he has been explicitly authorised by a relevant person or body to disclose information'.

According to the Royal College of Pathologists, Dr Hunt would have been expected to obtain permission from Oxfordshire Coroner, Nicholas Gardiner, before discussing Dr Kelly's case publicly.

Mr Gardiner confirmed that he had no prior knowledge of Dr Hunt's interview.

2. Yes. It wouldn't have been Brit SIS or whoever; they'd have been much more subtle,
and could have just 'spirited' him off to a 'safe house' somewhere 'for his own safety', for example. Where BushCo's whackers would face no such scruples.

BushCo, of course, has form. But this was perhaps the first time Blair maybe saw, up close, just who he was playing poodle with.

6. I remember quite well. I remember the EMTs who first answered the call said in no-uncertain-terms:

There was not enough blood at the scene for it to have been a suicide.
