Michele Bachmann runs away from CNN
Source: CNN

CNN tried to catch up with Rep. Michele Bachmann at the State Fair. But reporter Gary Tuchman figured out that these days, the congresswoman rarely talks to anyone other than known allies.

The cable news network's cameras were allowed to watch as she practically ran through through the fairgrounds, hustled by handlers to appointments with radio stations in right field.

And KTLK yakker Jason Lewis was given face time to praise her for creating her own media bubble, in which she never has to face questions that challenge her votes, speeches and campaign tactics.

"I think she has her own way of doing things, which is very much out of the Karl Rove playbook," Bachmann's Democratic challenger, Tarryl Clark, told Tuchman as they strolled through the fairgrounds. "I've never seen her do anything else."

3. If The Dems Can Just Make A Campaign Ad Of Repugs, Tea Partiers & Other RW Crazies .......
that are running away from legitimate reporters/journalists to avoid having to answer the tough questions - I think the American people will get a good idea as to what they would do for them once they were in office.

I just can't fathom the Bachman's, Fiorina's, Brewer's, Whitman's, Paul's, etc - getting elected and having to deal with them - yet alone having the likes of a Boehner and McConnell as majority leaders.

What implications would having the Repugs take either the House or Senate or both have on future Supreme Court nominees?

This is what we would have to face if we don't get out and vote in Nov and defeat these crazies.

I know that I couldn't stand the 8 years of BushCo - and if that's what you want going forward again after Nov. that's what you will get if you sit this election out or if you continue to bad mouth the Dems and Obama and inhibit others from going out and voting.

We have less than two months left to turn this around. If you are a Dem or a Progressive - and if you've been pissed off by what has happened these last 18 months or so - swallow some of your pride - instead of sitting this election out - support the Dems and Obama - give them a fighting chance to make good on the campaign promises. Rome wasn't built in a day and this country can't be put back in such a short time - after the shambles BushCo and the Repugs left it.

If you don't want to be looking at the Orange Man - Boner - sitting behind Obama at a State of the Union speech - get out and stop it in November.

6. Well said !!!! The thought of seeing Orange Man behind the President is sickening
I damn sure know that 8 years of Bush was all I want of republicon rule. We all need to fight like hell for our favorite progressive candidates in the primary, and then fight like hell for the Democratic candidate in November whether or not they were our first choice.

11. apathy
Most people do not vote. Turnout for this election may be 35%. Only about 60% bother to vote in presidential elections. People, basically, do not know or care about politics or government.

16. Republicans: tough talk, but scaredy cats when out of the bubble
They always have to be protected by their handlers- so frail and vulnerable. Bush, Cheney, Palin, Angle, Bachmann, and on and on. Why aren't there more frightened, unintelligent Democrats?

26. Nothing loonier than Bachmann on this whole flat earth -- just go ask her!!
And then God made the world, like a giant pancake .. he squished two pieces of dirt together between his hands, spit between them to make the oceans, and viola, there we have it -- God made the whole world in just 6 days.

Which later we sang about in church ---

"God's got the whole world, in his hands, he's got the whole wide world, in his hands, he's got the whole world, in his hands, so let's pray he doesn't start clapping again.
He's got you and me lil' brother, in his hands, he's got you and me lil' brother, in his hands, he's got you and me lil' brother, in his hands, I guess he left mom and big sis on the floor.
He used a little pat of butter, in his hands, he used a little pat of butter, in his hands, he used a little pat of butter, in his hands, cause then later he'll wipe it off on his pants."

Butter?

Parkay.

31. SOP for Bachmann
You never hear her speak out about her district (MN6). It is only about her and her now opportunist anti-tax premise (she never said a word about it as a state senator, it was all anti-gay marriage during that time). She was highlighted by Twin Cities TV newscasts a few weeks ago with a type of whistlestop bus tour for her reelection campaign. She wants everything highly controlled.

Do what you can to try to get her DFL opponent elected Tarryl Clark. Clark actually will focus on the congressional district.
