Heavy Rain, High Winds Hit East Coast, Remnants of Tropical Storm Nicole
Source: ABC News

Heavy rains worsened flooding in the waterlogged Carolinas today as the remnants of Tropical Storm Nicole pushed northward along the East Coast.

Wicked weather brings heavy rain and flooding along the eastern seaboard.Flash flood watches and flood warnings were in place this afternoon for much of the Eastern Seaboard, and in the New York City metro area and New England, residents braced for high winds.

In Wilmington, N.C., streets were flooded on Thursday morning as the city broke a rainfall record. Nearly 21 inches of rain have fallen in the last three days, the heaviest rainfall in a three-day period since recordkeeping started in 1859.

State of Emergency in North Carolina

North Carolina Gov. Beverly Perdue declared a state of emergency as the storm continued to bear down on the state, buckling decks and sidewalks and forcing cars off the road. Parts of the state are also under a tornado watch.

2. We are pretty soggy here..outside and in
the roof sprang about 10 different leaks...looks like after I patch the roof the sheetrock wall and ceiling will have to be replaced sign. Like I have the budget for a new roof or new walls.
