News Corp won't call Australia home

Global media group News Corporation today announced it would be moving its home country of incorporation to the United States from Australia by the end of 2004.

The new primary listing in the US is expected to "significantly expand company's shareholder base and increase demand for News Corporation shares," the company said in a statement.

5. Rupert Murdoch Already IS an American

Rupert Murdoch became an American citizen over a decade ago. At the time, Australia did not recognize dual Australian/ American citizenship.

So Rupert has sole U.S citizenship. Stop trying to make him an alien. He's 100% pure American--representative of American values, not Australian.

As an Australian citizen I resent the constant claims that Rupert Murdoch is an Australian. He hasn't lived in my country since the 1970's, and he's been a U.S citizen for over a decade.
