Gaddafi's son Mohammed flees house arrest-Jazeera
Source: Reuters, Al Jazeera

CAIRO Aug 22 (Reuters) - Forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi helped his son Mohammed flee house arrest on Monday, Al Jazeera television reported, as rebels sought to secure full control of the capital Tripoli.

Mohammed Gaddafi was among three of Gaddafi's sons to be captured by the rebels. The loyalist fighters stormed the house where Mohammed was held and set him free after clashes with guards there, the pan-Arab news channel said.

It said NATO was working with the rebels to mount coordinated air strikes on Muammar Gaddafi's heavily fortified Bab al-Aziziya compound in the capital. (Reporting by Omar Fahmy; Writing by Tom Pfeiffer)

1. Wow - on both, but mostly the second item. I don't know if the
sons have been charged by the ICC, do you?

All the commentators have been saying they wouldn't be surprised if these guys were killed. The story develops, I'm sure.

Thank.

Moammar Gadhafi Son Reported Dead, Again

By LEE FERRAN
Aug. 5, 2011
Khamis Gadhafi, the son of embattled Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi, was killed overnight in a NATO airstrike, according to a rebel spokesperson, but NATO has been unable to confirm the dictator's son's death.

The initial rebel report marks the second time this year that Khamis, 28, has been proclaimed dead. In March it was widely reported by the opposition that he had died of severe burns after a defecting Libyan pilot crashed his plane into Libya's central military compound in Tripoli.

4. Live blog: One of captured Gadhafi sons has escaped, official says
Source: CNN.com

Mohammed Gadhafi - one of the three sons of the longtime Libyan leader who had been captured by rebel forces - has escaped, Libyan Ambassador Ali Suleiman Aujali told CNN.

The ambassador told CNN's Wolf Blitzer that after rebels found Mohammad Gadhafi at his home, he was allowed to stay there at his request. Later, a different group, "maybe Gadhafi's forces," escorted him away.

"We don't know the story how he was taken out from his house," he said.

...maybe if he's still in a dress, he'll find a new husband whilst he's out and about.

However, the new hubby will be in for a surprise.

7. I wouldn't imagine cross dressing would be too acceptable in that part of the world...
Which no doubt shows how desperate he is, and why it stuck in my mind. :wow:
