Sharon Hints at Israel's Nuclear Deterrent
Sharon Hints at Israel's Nuclear Deterrent

The Associated Press
Published: Apr 24, 2004

JERUSALEM (AP) - Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon came close to ending four decades of secrecy about the country's nuclear-arms capability, saying the United States recognizes that Israel needs a credible deterrent to Iran and other hostile countries.

Sharon spoke Friday in an interview with Israel's Channel One TV, just two days after whistleblower Mordechai Vanunu ended an 18-year jail term for disclosing details of Israel's nuclear secrets.

"They understand that Israel's existence is still in danger," Sharon said, referring to the United States.

1. to bad there isn`t one american politiction
what would tell sharon to shut the fuck up and stay the fuck out of our business in this country. the fat ass has no right to comment on how the majority of americans think about his little country. hey sharon run your own country and stay the hell out of ours. maybe someday the people of isreal will get sick of your bullshit and corruption and vote you and your sorry party out of power. then maybe reason and compassion can due more good than all the incredible weapons that the idf can get there hands on.threating to kill your neighbors doesn`t result in peace dumbass.

2. thanks for your post
everything I tried to say just seemed to inflammatory so I didn't post. Reason and compassion could go a hell of a long way in regards to what is going on in the Middle East. Even try to talk about this on Du and people's head spin. I'm so glad Israel has so much power over all of us. What the hell is the deal?

5. Sharon and Bush two war criminals who deserve each other.
It is the rest of us that do not deserve these two.

People with positions of power should be judged by how they treat their enemies.

These two fail to meet the basic standards of international law.

6. Inevitable conclusion?
That Israel is simply another 'single party' client-state supported by US power, like a few others in the middle east.

I think the arab-jew thing is for the taxpayers

8. If Sharon didnt have America as an ally
He would have been screwed a long time ago. The war on afghanistan and iraq gives him cover to get agressive.

He needs to resign for the good of his country and the world, if the corruption inquiry doesnt do him in.

Arafat has to go too. The israelis and the palestinians deserve better leaders

9. hint away, my friend
As long as there are US troops on middle-east soil, Sharon will be fucked if he even thinks about using them.

10. Sharon keeps getting blow jobs from Bush
and Bush plays his extremist evangelical base for votes. They all have a hard on over Israel, and any wise Jewish person in Israel would know that Sharon is insane..totally insane, as Bush is.
The evangelicals who are hell bent on Armageddon WANT all the Jews to die, and go to hell.
They also run foreign policy, and Sharon is Israel's worst enemy.
