....it did not sound as tho her injuries were fatal. One of the first reports I heard was "shot in the head." But PE is reporting a neck wound - which, of course, can be fatal. So....I am wondering. Will watch the PE for updates. Hoping she is OK, too. Betting, tho, if she was not, the story might have made some of the larger news media. So, maybe no news is good news.

Any other media that reports from out there? I could remember the PE cuz I used to have a second home in Palm Desert - so that is the only reason I found any news on this at all.

for the info. BTW: I have read conflicting reports: Most reports say that the shooter spoke to the anti-choicer BEFORE he want to the truck to get the gun. Do you know anything about this? The Desert Sun article only says about AFTER he came out. I have seen articles which say that the shooter had a conversation with that one anti-choicer, the one carrying the sign of the dismembered fetus, BEFORE he went into the clinic about how the shooter agreed with the anti-choice position.

The young lady is alive, but listed in critical condition at a local hospital. So...at least she is hanging on! The ironic part of this IMO: If she survives, but loses the baby, the shooter under California Fetal Murder statutes could be charged with murder. Plus the fact that he was waiting for her and had a gun - IMO, this might be sufficient to charge and request the death penaly because IMO it appears that he shooter was "lying in wait." He is 17 years old, but I am betting that the DA will charge him as an adult.

What if it is necessary to save the life of the woman, that an abortion has to be done? IMO: The shooter still gets charged under the California Fetal Murder Statute. Now that is really just desserts for that little azzhole! It would deemed a murder under the Fetal Murder Statute and since he perpetrated it by lying in wait - IMO: It could carry a DP penalty.
