Titan Worker Named in Taguba Report Terminated -Source
By Chelsea Emery

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Titan Corp., which provides translators and interpreters to the U.S. Army in Iraq, has terminated an employee who had been named in a report about the abuse of Iraqi prisoners, according to a source close to the matter.

Adel Nakhla had been named in a New Yorker article in early May that cited a report by Major General Antonio Taguba saying Nakhla had witnessed a group of handcuffed and shackled inmates being subjected to abuse.

Then on Friday, the Wall Street Journal reported that an unnamed Titan employee admitted he helped hold down three detainees who were "nude, handcuffed to each other and placed in sexual positions." The Journal report cited an internal U.S. Army report that had not been released or widely disseminated.

The were no immediate details on the reasons behind Titan's decision to terminate Nakhla and it was not clear if Nakhla was the employee discussed in the Journal story, said the source who declined to be identified.

Titan spokesman Wil Williams confirmed Nakhla was terminated but declined to comment further, saying Titan does not give details on personnel actions.

5. He's a WAR CRIMINAL. Termination means nothing to,....
the tens of millions of good, decent people who are unemployed in this country.

His boss should be prosecuted, too. War-profiteer, war criminal, war-company.

BAH!!!!!
