They simply want to get married - the way their parents and parents' parents did.
``We both have strong family values and we come from families with strong values,'' Epstein said. ``We feel we're practically a married couple already - we share and renovated our home together. We've been on vacations together. We hope one day to adopt kids together. This, to us, is the logical next step.''
Epstein, 25, and Reeves, 26, joined the hundreds of same-sex couples who applied for marriage licenses after Massachusetts became the first state Monday to permit such unions.
