Iran Gives UN Second Nuclear Dossier

22 May 2004 -- An Iranian official says the government has given the United Nations what he describes as a "full" declaration of its nuclear program.

Iranian ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Piruz Husseini, told news agencies today that Iran handed over the document late yesterday. IAEA officials could not be reached for comment.

The dossier was due in June under agreement with the UN's nuclear watchdog.

Iran insists its atomic program is peaceful and aimed at generating energy. But Washington has accused Tehran of using a civilian nuclear program to hide efforts at building nuclear weapons.

There is no excuse for the bias in this media statement.

1. Bias? Surely not
just because the CIA founded the radio station - how could you possibly suspect them of being at all biased towards the American government? ;-)
