Saudi security forces 'allowed kidnappers to flee'
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,1-1129544,,00.html

President George W. Bush delivers remarks to the press inside the Marine One hangar at the Bush Ranch in Crawford, Texas following his meeting with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Thursday, April 25, 2002. White House photo by Tina Hager.

Saudi security forces allowed some kidnappers in the bloody weekend attack on a residential compound to flee because they threatened to blow up the building, according to reports.

At least 22 people died in the attack, including a Briton whose body was dragged through the streets of the port city of al-Khobar.

One employee of the Oasis compound said today that a hostage heard the gunmen shouting that they would release their captives if the security forces let them go.

"The security forces refused at the beginning but then apparently relented," he said.

"There was a kind of a deal reached to let the hostages go free, though some hostages had already been killed." Nine hostages died after their throats were cut.

1. Sniff, sniff
Something stinks to high heaven here. As Hatboy might say (if he was being hand-fed this story bit by bit so he wouldn't fuck it up), "developing."

2. (also sniffing)
There's something mighty strange at work here. SA forces LET them go??? I read earlier today that three terrorists were able to slip away into rush-hour traffic. One was left behind because he was injured.

Hm (pondering) whose side are they really on???

?

3. Kind of like letting the Bin Laden family leave the US w/o asking
them vital questions. Hmmm Whose side is this admin on anyway?

5. LIHOP or MIHOP?
So, they let the kidnappers go. Deja vu -- 911 and invisible hijackers and Bin Laden family let go.

With the Bushies and Saudi royalty joined at the hip, people were asking why the resident couldn't get gasoline prices down. Now this happens and analysts are saying that this attack would increase oil prices even more. It's a perfect excuse for the resident. So, who's side were the kidnappers really on?

It's a shame that our government is so corrupt that a conspiracy theory is the most logical explanation for events.

8. CNN International, what they don't say here
Comment: I was just watching CNN International and they admitted that the Saudi attack looked like a 'conspiracy of collusion' between the Saudi government and the 'terrorist group' - commenting that the 'terrorists' were wearing military uniforms and they were allowed to escape.

I also heard a mainstream British radio report today that also stated that three of the four terrorists were allowed to escape after a deal had been struck, although I can't find anything in print which confirms this at the moment.
