Anti-Bush campaign is stripped to its bare essentials
Five months until the election. Five uppity, prankish, seminude calendar photos plus cover shot. To pull it off, so to speak, will take a dozen Seattle women -- some in full, ripened bloom -- who are desperate enough to shed their clothes in the cause of stripping George W. Bush of the presidency. Keep your eyes peeled or avert them. The photo calendar called "Dames Demanding Democracy ... Because a True Democracy Has Nothing to Hide" is coming your way July 1, aimed at raising money for MoveOn, the PAC committed to ending the Bush regime.

"I wanted to call it Dames Desperate for Democracy. Some thought 'desperate' sounded too negative. But, Susan, if you could see some of these bodies. I mean, why?" says Nancie Kosnoff, co-birth mother of the calendar brainchild. "You'd have to be willing to do anything, including this, to get Bush out of the White House. I didn't go nude, myself, but I am desperate -- desperate enough to work with these dames!"

The naughty notion was born at the gym where longtime activists Nancie Kosnoff and Thalia Syracopoulos were working out after renting the movie, "Calendar Girls." Part uncovered, part tie-dyed, Syracopoulos will be on the cover with another, younger co-calendar "girl," a peace symbol draped across her rear end. They'll be rampant on a field of anti-war protest for a page titled, "Taking back the flag." The political situation in this country is darned grim as they see it, what with death expanding in Iraq and freedoms receding here at home. Time to raise a little hell, hopefully more than a little money, and have a bit of fun in the process.

1. Maybe Patti Davis "Reagan" could reprise her Playboy pictorial
for the calender? Very attractive at 42 in "94", July issue to be precise.

3. I was going to try to start a "Bush against Bush" website
you get the picture. Then I realized I didn't have the resources or ability to pull somehting like that off.
