Mexico (VNA) - Non-governmental organizations from Mexico, 13 Latin American, European and Oceanian countries have proposed establishing an international civil court to deal with American crimes against Cuba.
The proposal was made at a recent press conference held in Mexico City to mark the 51st anniversary of the attack on the Moncada barrack (July 26), that sparked the armed struggle that culminated a success of the Cuban revolution.
The court is expected to collect evidence of the adverse consequences of the embargo the US administration has imposed on Cuba over the past four decades despite protests and criticism from the international community.
At the press conference, NGO representatives from the US, Mexico, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Panama and Peru signed off on the "Message to Peacemakers" worldwide, which slams the renewed embargo President George Bush has launched.
