U.S. soldier wants Rumsfeld to testify on Iraq
MANNHEIM, Germany (Reuters)

Lawyers for a U.S sergeant accused of abusing Iraqi detainees wants to force U.S. Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld to testify in the his pending court martial. ..

Lawyers for the accused -- Staff Sergeant Ivan Frederick, Davis and Specialists Charles Graner and Megan Ambuhl -- argue their clients were following orders systematically to break inmates for interrogation.

One of Davis's lawyers, Paul Bergrin, said Rumsfeld was fully aware.

"He knew what would happen and he ordered it. Rumsfeld is as guilty as the soldiers who committed these acts," Bergrin told Reuters late on Monday. ..
