[California] Election fund freeze protested
California Secretary of State Kevin Shelly is under investigation by
the Schwarzenegger regime for laundered campaign 2002 money and verbally abusive treatment of his employees. Shelley has admitted he has a bad temper.

Shelley was responsible for decertifying many of the touchscreen machines in CA. Generally, he has been seen as a man of high integrity.

So why would Schwarzenegger freeze the HAVA money for the presidential election? Is this a power grab of the CA election 2004? Read this and the other links posted below.

San Francisco Chronicle

Greg Lucas, Sacramento Bureau Chief

Tuesday, August 31, 2004

Sacramento -- County election officials said Monday they will have less money to prepare for the November election as a result of a Schwarzenegger administration freeze on federal election money controlled by Secretary of State Kevin Shelley.

Some $15.4 million of the $17.5 million that is being frozen was earmarked for counties to train poll workers, make it easier for disabled voters to cast ballots and monitor election results

---snip---

More than $800,000 of the money being held by the Schwarzenegger administration was to be spent on monitoring of voting on election day, with $600,000 of that to police electronic voting systems used in 10 counties.

An additional $5.4 million is earmarked to help counties with electronic voting systems cover the costs of a series of tighter security imposed on them by Shelley as a condition of their using the electronic systems this November.

2. This action by Schwarzenegger will confuse the November elections.
It's clear that's what they want -- for California to be another Florida 2000.

It may sound crazy to some, but I think the people of California are in for a ride this November.

3. The timing and the 'three-month' freeze are a suspicious move
And yes, that smacks of an order issued DIRECTLY from Bushevik HQ.

Rove through Pete Wilson through the Bushevik Puppet and Emperor-in-Waiting Schwarzenneggar.

That is exactly what they are planning.
The fix is in.

Drier the liar said that California is definitely in play for the Republicans. How could he form his lips to say that?

BECAUSE the fix is in!

11. a bump for justice
I turned on the tv for about 10 seconds and heard some gop-erator saying that this time California would be "in play." Folks, they're going to Floridize you. Your Gubenator has found a pretext for withholding the funds to oversee the election... hello? Does anyone else smell a big hairy republican rat?
