Florida officials worry about double voting
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6309078/

In Orlando, Fla., early voters were hoping to avoid crowds. The rush, though, is already on — there are so many early voters there are parking lot traffic jams.

But while Florida voters focus on this election, the front page of the local paper has more disturbing news about the last one.

A new study by the Orlando Sentinel says more than 68,000 Florida voters are also registered in Georgia or North Carolina — and 1,650 of those actually voted twice in the 2002 or 2000 elections.

It is not a violation of the law to be registered in more than one state, but it is a felony to vote in two states in the same election. The problem is there's almost no chance of getting caught.

2. They have 10 days. They should be able to get to triple, even quadruple

Although the Afghanistan 1 man 20 votes model may be elusive, Florida has a solid track record in this area, and will no doubt serve as a benchmark for other states.

4. I particularly like letting the dead vote.
A long American tradition. Why, after all, should the
dead be discriminated against? They were good enough to
vote last year, why not this year? And why should particularly
vigorous and industrious citizens not get to exercise their
right to vote more frequently than the lazy and uncommitted?
Particularly citizens that hold the right sort of views, that
agree with me, if you see what I mean.

3. Gore "lost" by only 537 votes in Florida
I wonder if some of the 1,650 extra votes cast went to Bush? Do they know who the people are? This is a travesty!

6. But, the thousands who are proven already to be illegally DISenfranchised
are of no concern, aparently.

Persons who in some fantastic flight of fancy, MAY be voting more than once, and the evidence in ONLY HEARSAY - by repukes, naturally - gets the headlines. But PROVEN corruption by ONLY REPUKE officials who are supposed to be IMPARTIAL - yeah, right, repuke and impartial in the same breath - go uninvestigated.
