[Mom of soldier in Iraq] riled by Guiliani remark
"No matter how you try to blame it on the president, the actual responsibility for it really would be for the troops that were there. Did they search carefully enough? Didn't they search carefully enough?" he said on NBC's "Today" show.

That rankled Eleanor Kjellman of Henniker, an Air Force veteran whose son Kurt is an Army reservist in the Mideast.

"That was such a demoralizing, destructive statement for Rudolph Guiliani to make. Once again they (the troops) are scapegoats for the administration's failures," she said at a Democratic protest before a planned appearance by Guiliani in Bedford.

12. How can this clown have ANY credibility? He was already kicked
out of office when 9/11 came along. If not for 9/11
he would be nothing more than the guy who tried to "mickey Mouse"
Times Square. Sure they moved the porno business 10 blocks away,
but big deal. And what exactly did this genius do at 9/11
besides parrot whatever awol said. give me a break!

ARLINGTON, Va., Oct. 28 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani today issued the following statement:

"We don't need someone who voted against funding our troops during war to take my remarks out of context. Like the President I wholeheartedly support our troops. If John Edwards is looking for someone who is blaming our troops without the facts, he need look no further than his running mate, John Kerry."

the way every time they say something inflammatory, it's not because they meant it. It's always "taken out of context".

22. Classic Guiliani
Now THAT is what New York had to endure all those years. Examples abound of this blame and shoot off the mouth behavior from the man wh0 - like Bush - was rescued by 9/11.

28. Oh the irony!
He was just in Missouri stumping for Matt Blunt. Blunt is basically running on "soldier" status. I know he was in the Naval Academy. I can't remember all of the other details. But, every ad features pictures of him in uniform.
