State of New Mexico Election Results Reporting Application(15 min.Updates)
http://65.160.159.96/County0.htm

At the request of several other posters I have started this thread, since the original New Mexico resident commented that NM AM radio was actively discussing Kerry gaining heavy ground in absentee and provisional there, but did not provide a link in their thread of this breaking news from New Mexico, if anything, it sure would be nice to take back one of the Bush states.

Above is the link to the NM page that showed the following, as of 12:45PM (7 minutes ago Eastern time) -

Keep your heads up, believers, we are a good people who believe in rights for all, they can't take that from us!

3. oh gosh yes!!!!!!
I just showed my brother that, it's so sad those 3rd party candidates voters picking them, knowing DARN well that they were in a state that was a total toss us and that all of their votes together would throw it one way or the other....

In my opinion, they are responsible for Bush winning (in all the states that 3rd party votes effected the outcome), and they can kiss his right wing butt for the next 4 years!

4. 1:00PM update (3 eastern)
It shows that 2 more votes went for Kerry, 9 for Bush, in the 15 minute update. That means it's taking them about 1 minute for each ballot. Interesting.

5. Don't get too excited
Somebody on the old thread said that this was part of the certification process. On election night, they gave tallies by county. For the final certification they have to enter tallies by precint.

I'm not sure why this should case them to recycle through the count. But it does seem to be doing so, causing the total to go up, then back down, then up, then back down.

It's pretty confusing to an outsider. But I don't think we should get too excited.

The one thing, though is you have to realize how very close this thing came to either Kerry winning or it going into the house as a tie.

If Kerry had carried NM, NV and Iowa, the EV race would have been 269-269. I think he failed to carry these states by less than 40-50K total, or about half the margin by which he fell short in Ohio.

Apparently there are still about 3 million uncounted absentee ballots around the country, heavily concentrated on the West Coast. Kerry could get his PV margin to less than a milliong, perhaps, if things break really in his favor.

12. I like the one that calls the "Red States"---"Jesusland"
suits the mentality better than a legalistic/nationalistic sounding designation.

13. I wish all the states would be this thorough
I voted by an absentee ballot, and so did most of my friends, and we're not sure if our votes were even counted yet. What's the point of voting by an absentee ballot if the election is called before they even count your vote?
