US soldier wounded during attack at Iraqi prison

An improvised explosive device has blown up and wounded one US soldier at the Abu Gharib prison 35 kilometres west of Baghdad, a US military source said. ---

Part of the prison's perimeter wall was blown away.

US soldiers had arrested two people and were searching the area, Sergeant Leigh said.

Abu Gharib was one of the most notorious prisons during the reign of fallen president Saddam Hussein.

1. Surprise Surprise! Why wouldn't they want the occupiers.....
to have a prison with torture chambers after all the stories from Gitmo.
