No worry for DeLay; pest control dependable
... And there are a lot of unusual things you can say about DeLay beyond his bug expertise that you couldn't even say about Abraham Lincoln.

You couldn't say Abraham Lincoln's campaign and political action committees paid his family members over half a million bucks to do things like make sure he made it to his appointments on time.

You couldn't say Abraham Lincoln got a six-day all-expenses paid trip to Moscow reportedly paid for by business interests lobbying for the Russian government ...

You couldn't say Abraham Lincoln got a trip to South Korea paid for by a registered foreign agent ...

2. DeLay will have to take a test
to renew his pest control license...and he'll probably be looking for termites in other places before he looks under the bathtub! Personally, I think he must've drunk a Dursban cocktail or two in his time.

3. If Rep. Delay actually winds up doing time,
will he actually be able to renew his license for pest control?

I'm not certain, but I would think that with the amount of toxic pesticides these individuals handle, there would be some type of control over persons to whom these chemicals are distributed in large quantities.

If not, that would constitute a major Homeland Security Oversight.
Congress should get right on that...

4. Just know AR regs
basically, you have to put up a bond and show you have a certain amount of liability insurance, plus training and taking the test. Nothing about being worse morally than a cockroach.

5. Interesting....
Certainly instills confidence in the safety of drinking water supplies. Apparently, it's easier to legally acquire a truckload of pesticides than a license to fly planes...

Thanks for your response ayeshahaqqiqa.

6. Well,
you have to be a licensed pest control operator to get the pesticides from a licensed distributor. And today's chemicals aren't as lethal as what was once used. But you are right-improper disposal of chemicals and their containers can poison waters-and almost every one is toxic to fish.
