Did the media wake up? And more importantly, Why?
I've been trying to do a weekly (not weakly!) column of what's been up in politix on my site...thought some of you may enjoy this week's 'rant'...

So, what the hell happened to finally SORT OF wake up the media this week??? Mediawhores had a great page Tuesday where it just said, "The Media has done it's job today, check back tomorrow". Kind of summed it up...but WHY NOW??? I'm seriously wondering why the media has allowed every lie and stab to the American people to slip through over the last 2 1/2 years, and are just now standing up to this stupid chimp. I figure it's one of these three reasons:

A) Deregulation went through, so now the media owes these criminals nothing (I doubt this, but it is a possibility).

B) Some morons like Chris Matthews allowed themselves (or were paid off) to be lied to by the administration. Maybe now they're getting a bit pissed about it...this is possible. Stupid people who get lied to tend to get pissed off when (if) they figure it all out. Politician-wise, John Kerry's also pissed about being lied to...I would have thought he'd have the brains to know that this batch of criminals in the Bush administration have never told the truth, and why would they start now??? This possibility is likely, but still suspect...

C) The Bushies are allowing this to come out. They will then plant something in Iraq so that Weapons of Mass Destruction will be found, discrediting the media & Democrats (or any other dissenting group), and returning said groups to their meekness...(Unfortunately, I think this may be as good a possibility as any).

Since the media is almost completely corporate controlled, I can't think but that there's underlying reasons why they are starting to attack (yeah, right, attack...at about 1/100 of the level they did on Clinton's blow job).

3. Or
D) They've (corporatists) have pretty much cleaned out our treasury so now they will report in order to make more money off of the Bush Lied story

E) They've (corporatists) have figured out that *Bush is bad for their bottom line in the global economy

I say E
I think C is going to be to hard for them to pull off IF they try it they will get busted by other countries. Of course, I don't put it past them to try it and yes they are that brazen.

4. Good points...
Both points are very valid...$$$ is the corporate life blood, so both of those points could very well be correct...E makes good sense. If you don't mind, I'm gonna add D & E to my article...

7. I don't mind
at all if you use my points I'm pleased as a matter of fact!

Also I think RedEagles comment G is spot on and takes my D&E and wraps it up nicely as to what's happening!

G) You can't steal money from those that don't have any. Get rid of Bush, let someone build the coffers back up a bit, (while making sure the candidate isn't too anti corporate shenanigans), then do a "Bush" all over again.

Right on RedEagle!!!

5. Why Now?
F) There is still the possibility of Congress rolling back some of the FCC rulings. Corporate media not out of the water yet, may be trying to "look" good for the time being.

9. Because they have visions of being Bob Woodward
They'll accept craveness, arrogance, and heavy handedness. But how dare they cover-up.
