John Edwards
I have been a supporter of Edwards from the beginning. Yes this is throw out and that is throw out but in the end I think he is real. I do. I think he had the chance (unfortuneately) to sit back and reassess things I happened to be doing about the same thing at the same time so I get how hard it is to question everything and still not just change for the sake of change. He changed on some things. We all do over time, don't we?

I think he is real. I think that is what THEY (the inside crowd) is as scared of as much as the populist message. He knows now that he should have followed that message all along. Unlike those who are more interested in pretending the are rich Edwards is rich, filthy rich and that allows him to be able to look at things as if there is a safety net for him and it doesn't have to be a political one. Basically he isn't scared to be wrong or to HAVE BEEN wrong. And we all know that he has.

I trust him. Not blindly, I trust no one blindly. It's real and it shows and THAT is what scares them all to death.

1. When John and Elizabeth Edwards are together, they have
some kind of extra dose of magic going on. It's love clear and plain but it's more than just love. They've got this amazing SOMETHING iin addition to the love of devotion and the love of mutual respect.

Politics aside and issues aside for just a minute, I like these people. I like them a lot. And I think their children are wildly lucky to have managed to be born in that family.

If Edwards can endure the turmoil of a campaign and win nomination, I think he draws a heap of votes from across a wide spectrum. I think he could rack up a very impressive electoral college landslide, especially if the GOP field remains as pathetic and incoherent as it is right now.

Go, Johnny, go.

2. I voted for him in the primary in 2000...

it was a real toss up between him and Clark for me. I gave money to both of their campaigns, and I really didn't know which one I would pull the lever for until I got there.

I'm strongly considering him again, and I agree with you, he's for real. He's not afraid to take on big corporations, and he does it smartly and effectively, it's what he does, and that's the kind of candidate I'm looking for.
