Horowitz again spewing his poison
snip
Horowitz, darling of the right-wing political establishment in Colorado, earned thousands of dollars on our college campuses bashing professors he deems are out of touch with his own radical philosophy. He earned all this money while claiming that people of his political persuasion were never allowed to speak on our so- called "leftist" college campuses.

In rapid response, Colorado Senate President John Andrews recently held "hearings" on what students thought about their professors' political views and tolerance of alternative opinions. Andrews has claimed he simply wants an opportunity for all views to be expressed freely on college campuses. At his "hearing," however, he invited only conservative students who agreed with his own philosophy. This kangaroo court used public resources to support one-sided diatribes against those who don't agree with Andrews.

Now, Horowitz is seeking funds to develop a huge database of so-called "leftist" and "liberal" individuals and organizations, a massive snitch file. In a "confidential" memo floating around the Web, he asked for help in financing this database, which will "make transparent the network of the left, including individuals, organizations, groups, and government legislators and officials along with the funding sources that underpin them."

These groups, according to the memo, include "peace groups, anti-nuke groups, civil liberties groups, Muslim groups, anti-Israel groups and immigration groups." Soon to be added will be "science groups, labor groups, business groups, gun-control groups, abortion groups, and various special interest lobbies." Presumably not included, however, are those lobbies that represent right-wing views. The fact that many of these "leftist" groups are pretty mainstream is irrelevant to Horowitz.

We spend decades in a Cold War against Russia and all of what it represented. We win, and now we want to be just like they were. WTF?

1. He can have my address, etc.
I have no problem with them wasting their time and money sending me stuff. The more the better.

2. Well
I am personally funded by my job at the Postal Service- which also remains an object to destroy in their book(workers= unions= enemy). And hoo-haw think of the money to raked off by parasitic privatizers with no benefit to the people if the Post Office is given away! So any blacklisting or attack would be redundant and unnecessary. I myself, separate from my union, intend to fund the best opposition to the thugs, so I could I suppose be also listed as a criminal source funding the good angels of our beleaguered society.

So how much will sponsors back the jobs of people making enemies out of honest consumers and ruining their own media share in the process- making the ads themselves not worth the dough? Horowitz has gone O'Reilly in his own mad scrabbling to justify his self-destruction.

The only question. What country would he flee to if the decent but silenced majority wins? Our local hate radio guy fled to Utah to have his tears dried in the desert heat.

Put me on the sublist of those who have called the patriotic Horowitz a bought out boob. Under B.

5. Don't privatize the Postal Service
Who else is going to deliver a letter all the way across country in three days for 37 cents? The Postal Service is one of the best things in this country.

4. The GOP is a autocratic establishment. "Whorowitz" is an.....
enemy of freedom. He obviously does not want to have dissent, just like all of the other right wingers: Clear Channel, Heritage Foundation, Faux "News", AM GOP Hate Radio, Country "Music", etc!

6. Ironically, Horowitz's line is remakably consistent:
From a Marxist in his youth to a Stalinist in middle age.

7. Yes, he has consistently hated liberals

Didn't Orwell make the comment about the ease with which Stalinists became Fascists and vice-versa - the thing they had in common was contempt for liberal notions of fair play, tolerance, and civil liberties?
