The Greatest Threat America Has Ever Faced: the GOP?
It is impossible to imagine a bigger mess. Republicans have us at war in two countries as a result of Republican lies and deceptions, and we might be in two more wars--

Iran and Pakistan--by November. We have alienated the entire Muslim world and most of the rest.

The dollar has lost 60% of its value against the euro, and the once mighty dollar is losing its reserve currency role.

The Republicans’ policies have driven up the price of both oil and gold by 400%.

The neoconned Republican Party is the greatest threat America has ever faced.

Inflation is in double digits. Employment is falling.

1. Think how bad it must suck to be a REPUBLICAN voter:
All of the above is true, and abortion and being gay are STILL legal.

Talk about getting hosed...

2. as long as they have the wars and their guns, they are happy
if mccain was an evangelical, all would be fine in their world. They would once again set their sites on election-theft.

3. Republicanism started out as a political strategy designed to gain and hold
power. It has developed into a philosophy of life for millions of egocentric and shortsighted people, a philosophy that has proven to be highly destructive to the quality of life on Earth.

7. And greed arises from the mistaken belief that the individual is the
center of the Universe. The failure to realize that humans are components of a vast system of existence causes behavior that is ultimately nihilistic. The human race, through its short sighted view of its own existence, has become a "killing machine".

8. yep leads to this thought that anyone different than they are
screwed up - non-christian, non-white, non-heterosexual, non-nationalistic, non-baseball, non-apple pie.

Their personal characteristics are right - and everyone else is wrong.

I have heard more than once that if we want the oil under Middle-East soil, we have a right to it and we should just go get it. It is our right to have it and use it as we like. Is that not the epitome of greed.

I hate republicans. I hate what they stand for. They have ruined this country, its freedom, its economy for their personal greed. And my Granddaughter will pay the price for it.

11. DrDan, if over 50% of Americans were as informed as you, we
could retake our Country from the pathological thugs who are now calling the shots.

they have it coming to them . . . regardless of what "it" is.

Their greed knows no bounds.

12. This "sense of entitlement" fit right in with the religious "Dominionists"
who feel that the Earth was created for their own convenience. They feel free to plunder it in any way they wish.

5. the author was an Assistant Sec of the Treasury
and there is not one word in his article about the growth of the debt.

Interest on the debt is the second largest expenditure in the budget today - and destined to the number one spot replacing defense.

How could he have ignored the debt?
