Propaganda war: trusting what we see?

Israel has tried to take the initiative in the propaganda war over Gaza but, in one important instance, its version has been seriously challenged.

The incident raises the question of how to interpret video taken from the air.

Israel released video of an air attack on 28 December, which appeared to show rockets being loaded onto a lorry. The truck and those close to it were then destroyed by a missile.

3. I admit I thought "compressed gas cylinder" the second I saw them.

Why? they're COLD. They're the coldest thing in the picture. Even after they've been handled, the don't show signs of warming on any part of them.

The thin sheet metal housing on a missile would have warmed. These didn't.

If the after picture is correct, though, they look more like compressed air cylinders, yellow instead of green.

Anyone who happens to get in the way of an Israeli missile is either a Hamas militant, 'voted to be bombed' or is supplying 'aid and comfort to terrorists'.

And the children? Future freedom fighters taken out in a pre-emptive strike!

i can't recall when I heard Israeli military "intelligence" referred to as propaganda on this side of the pond.

this whole crisis in Gaza is what pushed me over the edge and decide to post online... usually I prefer not to think out loud... especially online :scared:
