WPost Feels For Wall Street Bretheren: Parry Continues Assault on Neocons Pravda
Over at Consortium News Parry has been launching a sustained assualt on the Washington Post which may as well be directly run by the Governement. WHile I disagree with him about the role of the Paper during Watergate, these articles are good reading.

1. Robert Parry is what a journalist should be.

Thanks for posting this - His analysis of the Washington Post is excellent. Elitism to the nth degree.

2. Bob Woodward: tween Yale and Post
Yes and he didn't even mention the parralels btw. Bob Woodwards Naval Intel briefings for Al Haig (1969) inside Whitehouse and Al Haigs later tender moments alone with Nixon and Jim Beam (1973) after Halderman was gone, and there was no USC protection* (my apologies to the universe) Yes thats right folks many are unaware of Bob Woodward's Naval Intel background.. For romantics out there it is also worth noting that Woodward is also Yale Scull and Bones (1966). See Family of Secrets by a Columbia Journalism Review editor, Russ Baker on this and also see the incredible book by Jim Hougan called Secret Agenda.

* a surprising number of Nixons most trusted came from USC, which they generally attended btw around '58-'62.

3. Correction to Above Post.
Correction: Woodward was not Scull and Bones. Book and Snake sounds much more like it. More appropriate for DC editor also!

6. To quote Amy Goodman, "If we had state-run media,
could you tell the difference?"

When Big Media is burnt to the ground, we will have a chance to restore democracy.

To make that happen we need to criticize corporate media where those who watch it can see it.

7. How long can the Ruling Class keep us opiated?
We lead the world in Prozac, Xanax, Vicodin, and Reality TV. Will this be enough to keep us from eventually taking the country back? Stay tuned. Or don't.
