Will corporate parasites find a new host?

Any biology teacher will tell you that the number one rule of being a parasite is not to kill the host. But that is exactly what big business has done to the American middle class.

For many years, the corporate parasites were happy just feeding off of us – earning profits as we purchased goods, and earning interest off our money as we used financial services. But then they got greedy...

So, now, I wonder if they’ll go in search of a new host. Who? Well, who has money anymore but the rich people who were the very least effected by the economic downturn?

2.  No critical thought
Sounds like it was a war on us, and some here at D.U. are still very comfortable and not ready to comtemplate what the good germans in germany had to come to grips with. When our govt. lets our military us military weapons on us their mission is accomplished.

4. Nazi Oppression.
After WWI, Germany did not have the resources to build a huge war machine but they did it anyway. Somebody funded it...but who? Now start reading some history for the answers.

5. "good germans" is just a phrase used as a political metaphor
It refers to a population that stands willfully ignorant, while those in power carry out acts which the individuals in the population would (in theory) oppose. German society was in this state of corrupt innocence under the Nazi regime, and remained in denial for reasons that they still debate today. My read of midnight's post is that the parallel to our current American corrupt innocence is pretty close. I can't say that I disagree. Its been so for some time.
