Coup d'etat by Michael Ruppert
http://www.fromthewilderness.com/free/ww3/060804_coup_detat.html

So is the CIA soon to oust Bush and his admin very soon? If so, was this a result of long-term planning.

Why did DCI George Tenet suddenly resign on June 3rd, only to be followed a day later by James Pavitt, the CIA's Deputy Director of Operations (DDO)?

The real reasons, contrary to the saturation spin being put out by major news outlets, have nothing to do with Tenet's role as taking the fall for alleged 9/11 and Iraqi intelligence "failures" before the upcoming presidential election.

Both resignations, perhaps soon to be followed by resignations from Colin Powell and his deputy Richard Armitage, are about the imminent and extremely messy demise of George W. Bush and his Neocon administration in a coup d'etat being executed by the Central Intelligence Agency. The coup, in the planning for at least two years, has apparently become an urgent priority as a number of deepening crises threaten a global meltdown.

A very telling paragraph:

The Bush administration has proved itself to be an insular group of inept, dishonest and dangerous CEO's of the corporation known as America. They have become very bad for business and the Board of Directors is now taking action. Make no mistake, the CIA works for "The Board" - Wall Street and big money. The long-term (very corrupt and unethical) agenda of the Board, in the face of multiple worsening global crises, was intended to proceed far beyond the initially destructive war in Iraq, toward an effective reconstruction and a strategic response to Peak Oil. But the neocons have stalled at the ugly stage: killing hundreds of thousands of people; destroying Iraq's industrial and cultural infrastructure as their own bombs and other people's RPGs blow everything up; getting caught running torture camps; and making the whole world intensely dislike America.

3. I always did. My Dad always said that Bush I should never have been
allowed to run for president, that no one who was ever the head of the CIA should be allowed to run for political office. He was paranoid that way.

I do think that there are some people in the CIA who have this country's best interest's at heart. But not all, and not the heads of the department. Look at their past records. They've done some pretty dirty stuff. But now, they're one of our best hopes for getting rid of the slime buckets who are running the county into the ground.

4. Sometimes "paranoid" is another way of saying
absolutely right on target.

Your dad was right, not paranoid. Or right to be paranoid. Or... (you get the picture).

5. I saw Ruppert speak recently in LA --
I was so impressed. In a matter of fact way he proceeded to CONNECT ALL THE DOTS! I've been watching him carefully and he gets a lot right, more right than wrong -- remember last year when Howard Dean was the front runner and Kerry was only polling single digits in most states, Ruppert said that the 'powers that be' in the democratic party wanted Kerry and not Dean, and that they would make sure that Kerry was the nominee? He said about a year ago that Bush had done the dirty work that that masters wanted, and that they'd bring him down with a watergate like scandal -- and put a kinder, gentler fact on the empire? The man does his homework.

During the lecture he made a comment that all he did was read maps -- and sure enough he showed us a map of all the known oil reserves -- and then another of US military presence/bases -- and sure enough -- they matched quite well. It was particularly interesting just how interested we've suddenly become in Africa.

His overall prediction for man-kind is pretty dismal though -- he reckons that after the wars over scarce resources, famine, ice ages, etc take their toll -- we'll be reduced to 2 billion people -- the same number the earth was able to support before the widespread use of petro-chemicals.

Regarding the coup story above -- I fear the Bush cabal might not want to go peacefully into their good night!

The moral of this story for any politico -- is don't mess with the SPOOKS!

6. How do PNAC stalwarts Kristol and Perle fit into this puzzle?
Edited on Wed Jun-09-04 06:53 PM by Dover
Perle just announced very publicly that the invasion of Iraq was a failure (though mainly he was being critical of getting bogged down in a role as occupiers instead of turning over power quickly...as was done in Afghanistan and Haiti).
I think I've also seen similar criticism recently from Kristol. What gives?

7. Who can say?
I would expect them to be included in the trash being removed.
I had taken their statements to be blame avoidance maneuvers,
that is, self-serving rationalizations.

9. Are you in a dreamworld
Even if America is not a corporation per se, it is still significantly run by powerful corporations.

BTW, I doubt that Ruppert can be identified as a mere leftist.
