O'Neill says Bush was like ‘blind man’
Fired former Treasury secretary lashes out in book

Former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill, pushed out of the administration for not being a team player, says President Bush was so disengaged during Cabinet meetings that he was like a “blind man in a roomful of deaf people.”

O’Neill, who has kept silent about the circumstances surrounding his ouster from the Cabinet 13 months ago, is giving his side of the story with a tell-all book that paints Bush as a disengaged president who did not encourage debate either at Cabinet meetings or in one-on-one discussions with his Cabinet secretaries.

To promote the book, which will be out Tuesday, O’Neill will appear Sunday on CBS’s “60 Minutes” in an interview with correspondent Lesley Stahl.

This is great! He's telling us what we already knew! Think anybody else will listen to it?

2. I just told my husband we have to record 60 Minutes if we're not home.
That interview sounds like a scoop! And how refreshing to have one of his own point out the emperor's nakedness. :D

5. Well... an affirmation of what we already figured out...
it only makes me angrier that the cabal who put him there to win the hearts and minds of the politically blind stooped so low to assume that Americans would be as stupid as we would need to be to consider him a leader. I become even angrier when I watch the media lie to us.
