Saw a little piece on her, has anyone else thought to themselves: WHAT THE HELL COULD SHE POSSIBLY SEE IN HIM?!?! I would like to see her endorse one of the Democratic candidates.

If she were a Democrat at heart, she would have told George to piss off decades ago. But, she's not a Democrat at heart.

He described her as a crazy woman (could tell he wanted to call her something else)she kept jerking him around on how she wanted the desk done and ended up costing him money

I heard on some talk radio show, the host was talking about how she killed a man when she was a young lady. I thought it was just lies and vicious slander.

Then I found out it was true; she really did run over a former boyfriend; he was killed instantly when he was thrown against a telephone pole (?). And apparently she got off with just a slap on the wrist. Did she come from a wealthy family that bought her off?

She's not as nice as she looks.

In the Texas gubernatorial race, 1994, Ann Richards was the incumbent, defending against W challenge. She strickly warned her staff that NOBODY was to mention Laura's accident, as it would backfire badly against Richard's. One of her fears was that some newspaper might print the story and Richard's campaign would be blamed. It is OLD NEWS.

You have your facts about the accident wrong. It was Laura Welch's 17th birthday in 1963. She didn't see an obvious stop sign (negligence) and went through it at about 50mph, and hit her boyfriend's car in the side, killing him instantly. Her boyfriend's father was following and saw the entire accident. Laura never denied responsibility.

There was nothing to investigate. An inexperienced teenage driver did something stupid. Even the boyfriend's father said it was a tragic accident.

Laura's family were not political, nor particually important. Her father was a successful small business owner. He had a home construction company that he had started a few years before during the height of Midland's oil boom.

BTW - At the time they were Democrats. Laura even voted for McGovern in 1972. She didn't know W at the time as his family had moved to Houston about 5 years before.

I came across that caption during the 2000 campaign and I have never looked at her the same again. Also, comparisons to The Joker, due to one really bad eye lift. I thought Texas was full of good plastic surgeons. She clearly got had on that bit of surgery...

(Yes, this was really mean and catty but since she decided to marry that man and let him to run for POTUS, well, the least I can be in retaliation is mean and catty.)

She's a frumpy do-nothing Stepford first lady. I imagine her standing at a window in the whitehouse looking out at town and saying, "so pretty, so pretty, so pretty." I would think that if she did support a democrat (HA), I would question whether to vote for him or her.
