Uplifting story - one more convert, maybe two!
A while ago I convinced by best friend of 30 years that she just votes with whomever husband/boyfriend is (Repug). Well she has been doing research and I emailed her the Dean stuff and guess what? The Dean people called her and she made a $25 donation.

Funny aside: She asked me "Who's Joe Trippi?"

Meanwhile her Repug boyfriend now HATES * and even though he is not well educated, he has good instincts, there were his words:

"If * serves a second term, he will be a lame duck and will change this country to the point that we won't even recognize our America." Smart words! I don't know if he will vote Dem or sit out the election, but * is dust.

My sisters boyfriend was a heavy duty repug. Voted for Bush/hated Clinton. He recently told me he wants Bush out, that at least Clinton was good for the economy and will be voting Democratic this time, probably Clark. I don't know one person who voted Democratic in 2000 that will now vote repug but I know several who voted for Bush in 2000 and will now be voting Dem. The tides are turning.

3. Fantastic
It's always good to get people on our side. Congratulations to everyone who has won some new followers to our party. I am currently working on a few of my old pals. In addition, I think we have to reach out to our apathetic friends and relatives and bring them to the polls.

We all know them. The ones who say "politics isn't for me", or "they're all the same to me, why should I vote?". Just think what we could all do together if we showed these friends of ours that the Democratic party is one of inclusiveness that really cares about them. Think of what would happen if we got the message through to them that staying home instead of voting Dem. is just letting people like Bush and DeLay make the process they already don't like even worse. Now that would be a revolution!
