Will Bush or Cheney face indictments for the Plame Incident?
I felt a profound mix of vengeful glee when I heard that Fitzgerald's investigation of the Plame Incident included a subpoenae of Air Force One telephone records. I find it hard to believe Rove was gabbing on the phone about outing a CIA agent without letting Dubya in on the story.
I'm sure Rove will face indictment, along with Hannah and Scooter. But will Bush and Cheney have their day of justice? I'm feeling a lot more hopeful about that prospect than I did when Ashcroft was sitting on this.
4. Of course, this might not go to trial until after November
Then there may be no need for impeachment. Private citizen George W. Bush would then face trial without the ability to invoke executive privelege or any such Nixonian nonsense. Inmate George W. Bush has a nice ring to it.
One of the things to remember is that staffers often accompany the people they serve.
It could very well have been that Hannah and/or Libby were on the plane at the time. Or, mayhap the FBI has found evidence linking someone under Bush -- such as Rove.
Seems pretty clear though that there'll be -some- charges, eventually. I can only hope they go high enough to serve as a major embarrassment to those squatters in the White House.
