I had a moment last week where, for some reason, I thought the protest was this past weekend... I got all excited until I looked at the calendar :evilfrown:

The conflict for me is that 3/20 is also a voter registration drive here. But we also have a local protest march here. We're a small town, but there are some very committed people. We have the (dis)honor of hosting one of the INS's largest 'holding facilities' and that was protested by this group in bitter, snowy, deep snow, icy weather. I could be in their protest March here and register voters.
But I was born in DC and grew up in the 60's driving through constant protests. Its in my blood.

Says they are taking buses from DC to NY. I thought for sure there was gonna be one in DC.

12. I wish I could make it out there.

I remember protesting the war back in the 60/70s when I was a young man. We were planning a trip to Kent State the day of the murder by the National Guard, but fate had other plans and we couldnt make it. I had a piece of junk for a car and it wouldnt start that morning.

Its a shame we are in a country that ignores so many.
