The media will use that tired joke of Kerry coming down on two sides of an issue. We'll see it a hundred times.

1. Yup
The quote was "I voted for the $87 billion before I voted against it."

Were there two versions of it? I want to see this quote in context.

2. Chicken Hawk Cheney laughs at Kerry
The same guy who had "other priorities" during Vietnam.

Fuck him.

5. If his father was Mr. “Read My Lips,”
just a thought:
Mr. Bush has been running a campaign ad that suggests I’ve changed my opinion. That I’ve ‘flip-flopped’ on issues.

I was for this, then against it.

I could cite examples like that from Mr.s Bush’s far briefer political career for the next hour. But thatt’s just a rhetorical trick. It doesn’t add anything to the debate.

If his father was Mr. “Read My Lips,” then the son is Mr. “Read My Flips.” About the only thing he’s been absolutely consistent about is one thing that virtually no person in the world disagrees with: Saddam Bad.

Perhaps Mr. Bush and I can agree that changing situations, emerging intelligence and expanding investigations have led us both to change our opinions over time.

Americans want a president to make the right decision. Not the same decision. Especially when that decision has proved itself tragically wrong.

7. Well, to be fair, neither Cheney or anyone he is speaking to gives a shit
They honestly don't care about deaths in another country. All it is for them is another chance to say "we could be fighting the terrorists here or at home".

No one who would spend $2,000 to see Bush or Cheney stumble through a speech really could care about deaths.

Shit, they don't even care about the American deaths in the war, or on 9/11.
