Are things starting to spiral so drastically
out of control...? Do you ever feel just a strange "sense" in the air that is unexplainable? I had that early this morning...tried to blame it on a bad dream last night, but now this bombing in Iraq...geeze...what next, I'm really afraid to ask.

I worry that this is getting closer to us again. There is a strange wind sending a chill in the air and it ain't the north wind!

Anyone else every get that omnious feeling that is unexplainable, but incredibly creepy?

2. Yes , because there is always a threat of terrorism due to Dumbo's
war mongering policies. Fear breeds panic.

5. Bingo--thinking same
The Bush's ALWAYS have these great coincidences. So just as he launches his attack campaign and needs the people of get all scared of terrorists again, Madrid happens. Kerry going to make big speech on military today and the explosion in Iraq happens which pushes Kerry off the tv but puts Cheney's speech on. Media goes on a nutso blitz a few days ago just ripping at Kerry for everything (tv and newspapers); jokes are also made about him. The media is spinning events as: see those foreigners are desserting us but it makes our warrior king even more noble that he presses on (in his same stupid fucking no win way). This is like one big staged event to not have this campaign drag out but to utterly destroy Kerry immediately. And that, goddamn it, is just what the repuke, smirking heads predicted would be done. How did they know they would get so lucky. When the greatest power and wealth in the world are at stake, a stinking bomb or two is Mickey Mouse to stage.

15. Everytime I get the BFEE heebie-jeebies and feel discouraged
I surf on over to http://www.starlightnews.com/ and read the essays there. This person has had their core predictions up since 2000 and has been right on the money much of the time. I like his/her predicted outcomes and it feels like marking progress towards *'s ouster.

and people I work with have that same feeling. I think we are all feeling fear. So much of it around the world --it gets passed around in the ether.

9. What can you do? Get to work! Give money, volunteer for Kerry, get active.
Do something, don't sit there & stew. Turn the computer & tv off!
I've been sick since they stole the election but that anger can be turned into a powerful force. Look what the Spanish voters did!
Call your local Democratic Party folks or look online or at Meet-up!

They want you to feel powerless & depressed.

10. Yes--
I had trouble getting to sleep last night because I read some posts about the possibility of * postponing elections if there were a terrorist attack/threat.
I cannot believe what has happened to our country. I was awake last night worrying about the world my children will have to live in.
Oh, and throw in Peak Oil, too.....
I think many things will happen between now and November.

11. Oh, one interesting thing to pass along (Gallup)
I saw today as again the recent Gallup poll was being presented and where it showed that the "was the war worth it" question rose back to a 55% level, that the guy from Gallup explained that this was taken BEFORE the Madrid bombings and now we have this. I'm going to be real, real, real interested in seeing if the numbers go dancinc skyward (for the life of me I cannot see why but then we are the land of the eternal morons) or if they are going to plunge. If they plunge, duck because the media propaganda to get us back into line would be something to make Hitler proud!!!!!!!

12. 411
With 911, and 311 in Spain, I expect 411 to finally get the message across to Americans that they are in for some serious crap if they continue their imperialistic policies.

13.  I think what is making this worse right now, for me at least,
is the fact that Hannity, Limbaugh, and David Brooks (any administration officials yet?) are openly floating the "suspend elections in event of terror attack" balloon. The last time I felt this bad was during the propaganda runup to the invasion--"watch what you say, watch what you do."

20. Oh, I had forgotten how scary a time that was for me
(the runup to the invasion). When I would talk to people in public, I would honestly whisper so as not to be heard if I was disagreeing with something this admin was doing. Then, I had this brief period of renewed hope, and, you're right, that feeling of foreboding is there again.

14. Yes, got it too
I think it's because the Repukes have been doing so badly lately and their backs are against the wall now. They are going to lash out and who knows what they will do. They know they are losing this they got nothing to lose. It's scarey.

17. I know what you are talking about
it's a terribly unsettled, uneasy feeling. I've been thoroughly angry since this gang of thugs stole the election but lately, with the daily reports of soldiers being killed and trains and hotels being blown up - and all the while our idiot "president" claims he is making the world "safer" when deep down we all know we are going down, down. I despair.

18. Yes, I've had that feeling as well
off and on for quite a while. I had it very strongly last night. I thought it was b/c I had read an article about the new "purer" form of meth invading my state. The more I thought about that article (even now still), the more ominous things seemed.

19. I know what you mean...

I've felt this too, off and on over the last year or so, but especially the last couple of months. A sort of feeling of dread. It started when I realized that, if you look at the last 50 years of our history, you can pretty safely say that bad things are going to happen in this country in the next 50 years. No way to avoid it.

I'm especially freaked out now because our first baby is due in early October. What kind of world is he/she going to grow up in?

Sometimes I just want to build an igloo in Tuktoyuktuk and stay there.

21. Yes, I do....I feel like we're on
the precipice, about to go into a free fall. It's like the darkness is gaining momentum or something.

I have been feeling it more and more lately. You are right though, it is really kind of unexplainable and very creepy at the same time.

25. Maybe it's because things are spiralling out of control for Bush
...and many of us understand that once the Bush Regime realizes that they are going down, they will show us the true meaning of evil.

I believe many of us just want to (hope to) get to the elections and get these monsters out of power and try and put our country back together. It doesn't look like it's going to be that simple...

26. I have no doubt that
when pressed up against the wall Rove will kick and scream his way out...saw how he demolished Ann Richards when she ran against Bush for governor. At the time, it was disgusting, but looking back it was only a wink and a smile compared to how he will act during this election.

However, I don't worry about that...that's a given,Rove will be nasty.

No, I guess this is a feeling like a premenition. I had it before 911...in fact, told my spouse, a few weeks before that I had a weird feeling something would happen. So, putting it aside, went on my merry business of planning my child's birthday party since it falls on 9-12 and boom--literally. That was a hard birthday. I don't know, with all the crap going on maybe I'm just getting overly cautious:shrug:

Who knows...maybe I need to go apply at the psychic hotline:crazy: Just kidding of course...;)

between feeling one day like "everybody is finally waking up, people are getting it" because of conversations I had that day and then, the next day, I feel as though it's even worse than I thought. Go figure.
