Predicting Bushco's paradigm shift regarding Iraq.

With each attack in Iraq, the argument that Iraq is getting better is getting more difficult to make. Bushco is learning that euphemisms like "stay the course" can be used only so many times.

I am predicting that Bushco will soon present a paradigm shift in its view of Iraq. Soon, Bushco will give up the "stay the course at all costs" attitude. Soon, Bushco will start saying that even though peace and democracy has not flourished in Iraq despite their best efforts, the attempt to bring peace and democracy to Iraq was worth a shot.

Wait for it and just remember that you heard it here first.

1. I just read The Price of Loyalty

And one line keeps coming back to me. The one about how we plunked 100,000+ troops into the middle of a billion Arabs. That's a very loose paraphrase. But the thought chilled me. Like looking down at earth from space and the troops are a pin dot in the middle of the Middle East.

Anyhow, this came to mind upon reading your thoughts.

I can't see how that will ever happen. That's why they are leaving June 30th. They won't stick around until the end.
