so what happened to that plan to have Rice run Iraq?
"Rice will manage Iraq's 'new phase'
By Judy Keen, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON — President Bush is giving his national security adviser, Condoleezza Rice, the authority to manage postwar Iraq and the rebuilding of Afghanistan."

That's the first one that comes up on google - gee, looks like that worked out real well!

1. Perhaps the new proposed name "Irice" didn't play well to focus groups
So they scrapped the whole thing?

4. She was just supposed to be the conduit for all the tax money
to be spent on "reconstruction." All the companies that wanted any of our federal tax money were supposed to be approved by her, and SWOOSH, the money would get to them immediately. No worries about competitive bidding. No worries about companies that contributed to Democrats. A pipeline for graft and corruption and waste.

7. I've been wondering about that...
...for some time now. If she's as big a dud at Iraqi reconstruction as she is at national security then there is a whole other set of questions she needs to be asked. Has she even BEEN to Iraq any time recently--or at all?
