Is * mad at Letterman because he doesn't want another Dana Carvey?

Is this administration so afraid of him being teased that they'll only allow * himself to crack jokes at himself? Do they think Carvey cost Daddy the election?

But there wouldn't even be a yawning kid if they hadn't called CNN and insisted the video was fake. Which they obviously did: the Bush White House would have issued their own denial otherwise, and they should have simply laughed the whole thing off. But as usual, they had to have a fall guy, and they chose CNN--the innocent victim of either an external prankster or an internal malcontent. But what I'd really like to know is where they got off thinking that Letterman wouldn't mind being called a liar!

And now to top it off, the Bush White House is chaperoning the kid's appearance on Letterman tonight. Isn't that his father's job? This has all been such a dumb move I suspect that the Pretzel-Dunce came up with it himself.
