Damn! Gore TV Deal Is Stalled At The 11th Hour; Major Investor Pulls Out
http://www.nyobserver.com/pages/frontpage5a.asp

Man, this is bad! I was so hoping for a real news station that is geared for young adults, while giving a progressive side. I hope Mr. Gore somehow can pull this out. Maybe George Soros can come through!

1. I can picture the reluctant investor
At his dinner table, tied up with duct tape, having a script read over and over to him from some rethug...

"You vill not zupport thees project, vee haf your wimen and children zafe for now, if only you vill cooperate."

2. I'm sorry
but i have no misconception that this would have been a 'real news station' at all, merely an answer to Fox News from the progressive side.

Since we know so little about it, I don't think we should assume that the journalistic standards would be as low as Fox News'.

4. It's not dead.
The article merely says that an investor got cold feet. Vivendi/Universal still says the offer's on the table though. So all hope is not lost. Get it into Gore's hands before NBC/GE take Universal over, and it won't be subject to the MS/RNC "editing process".

If anyone here knows a wealthy liberal, ask him or her to join the investment group.
