I posted what follows on another thread. I thought it would be nice on this Easter weekend to dedicate a thread to them. Share your thoughts......... I'll start.

1. Ladies, may I dedicate this to you

To you, wonderfully brave widows that are the genuine heroines of this century.

You continually climb into the fire.
You go where seasoned politician fear, in the face of the attack dogs.
Your message slaps the smirk off those loafing liars.

No, Cheney and Bush will not testify under oath or in public, but most of all not with your eyes peeling away the layers to their underlying agenda.

Press on iron jawed angels, do not fear. You have faced the demons and they cower in your presence.

You have given your children and this world a legacy of courage.
Of truth rather than greed.

Of true love and honor for those who were stolen from your lives.

You rose from the ashes
to shine a light of hope in these dark days.

May this Easter be a tribute to your dignity.

4. I applaud their work and persistance

However, if an apology or public admission of mistakes from the Bush administration is what they are continuing to seek....then they run the risk of being discounted.

I think it is time to make a stand...and loudly...to get Bush out.

Wow, so true, nomatrix. VERY well said!

If I were thrust into the abyss, as they were, I could only hope to show half the courage, clarity and fighting spirit that these brave women have displayed time and time again.
I have used their example to educate my own son on what patriotism really looks like.

A light of hope, indeed.
