How long before George Tenet's head explodes??

With Condi trying to shift blame to the FBI and CIA, once again George Tenet will probably find lots of people looking to him for some explanation. After the way the Bush administration tried to get Tenet to fall on his sword for Bush during the WMD and "yellowcakes" controversy, will Tenet take much more of this crap? Condi is saying that the FBI and CIA didn't communicate with each other. Fuck that. Tenet went directly to the top with the Aug.6 PDB. He definitely told Bush AND Rice about it, so what is her point? Do you think Tenet will join the ranks of Paul O'Neill and Richard Clarke any time soon?

1. In some ways he already has

I mean clearly they've already got their ducks in a row if he does take that route. Clinton Holdover. I seem to remember around the yellow cake situation a few right wing columnists calling for his resignation or termination (insert scary sounding music here), so they could get some one less ideologically suspect in. He hasn't taken quite the shellacking from the right wing as Powell, but it's still been pretty bad for him.

Word is he was harassing Bush to get on the al Qaeda thing.


Even the Arizona FBI special agent who uncovered the flight lessons had to go to CIA to get listened to.
