"Mrs. X still supports the War and President Bush": fallen GI mantra
One of our local TV stations (ABC affiliate WCVB Channel 5) always repeats this mantra whenever a local soldier is killed. It's becoming glaringly obvious-like some kind of mantra you'd see on Pravda TV during the '70s in Russia. It's kind of scary. First of all, how do they know this? Does Mrs./Mr. X sanction that they say this, or is it just added on without their permission?

Why do they have to add "AND President Bush"? He must be losing support among military families...

5. I hope they do
it's kind of freaky-if you saw this after every segment on a fallen soldier, you'd think it's some Soviet-style, 1984 bad dream. Why don't the family members say it themselves rather than the newscaster? Makes you wonder if it's a directive from above.

4. Sounds like there's a rethug running the show there
Let them know you don't approve of the empty editorializing without a quote to go along with it!
