Could reinstatement of the draft spark a neo counter-culture?

In my political science class "Special topics: election 2004" the professor asked the class Who would "Dodge the draft if it was reinstated" over half of the young male hands went up. This war is much dirtier than Nam ever was and we know what came from that war. I can barely imagine the unrest resulting when the kids are forced to die for this bullcrap. At least in Nam there was a goal........stopping communist expansion. In this war we dont even know why were there. They come up with a new reason as the old ones turn out to be non existant. I can see where a new draft could start a new wave of ultra-liberalism and radicalism across the country. What do ya think?

Seattle Cancun World Social Forum mumbai resistance Internation Solidarity Movement just to name a few my generation has been pretty busy confronting capitalism and authority thank you very much
When Chris Matthews asked his college tour audience who supported the war they blew the roof off. When he asked who wanted to help fight the war you could have heard a pin drop. If we do return to the draft Democrats should fight hard to make sure the selection is equitable and without avenues for nepotism and loopholes. Dodge if you want - I would hate to see the war cheerleaders slide out legally.
