I'm picturing the end of the Special Edition of Return of the Jedi when they show all these planets & the people celebrating because the empire has been destroyed.

Will we all be singing 'Happy Days are Here Again?'

I feel sorry for Kerry in a way because he's gonna have a H U G E mess to clean up once he's ELECTED into office.

1. Nope...

It will just start day one of the incessant right wing Clintonizing of Kerry...plenty of juicy "scandal" and plenty of talking heads blaming every Bush failure on Kerry...it will be disgusting.

2. Dancing?
Don't know about worldwide, but I will be (though I might wait for the inauguration...fearing martial law by Bush preventing the transition...:tinfoilhat:

5. Seriously,
I don't know how he'll do it. It would seriously make my day though if he lost the popular vote and won the electoral votes though; see how much Bushy likes that one.

Either way, it'd make my day / next four years if he won.

8. It will start, but since bush is still in power
he will declare martial law, imprison kerry for inciting a riot, try him, and execute him, and then crown himself king

21. Where would they flee to?
Saudi Arabia with other religious fundies....if only they could overcome their differences and work together in oppressing Women Jews and Gays.

23. Right-minded, not right-wing!
Sorry, I can see how that would be confusing. By right-minded, I mean left-leaning folks.

18. My expectations as well
A VERY cautious sigh. Sort of like "well the bad guy's out but lets see how much better this one is before we celebrate." Maybe not in the U.S., but around the world there will definitely be some suspicion of Kerry since he is such an "establishment" candidate.

1. The Bush -> Kerry Transition - That will be interesting
2. The GOP circular firing squad after Bush loses - that will be awesome.
3. I will listen to Rush Limabugh the morning after as he unleashes a massive hate spiel on the majority that voted for Kerry
4. The post Bush Admin autobiography books in 2005 that will reveal all the shananigans of the post 911 era. ("I told him not do X but he wouldn't listen")

29. If Kerry wins it'll mean the end of the religious right's power
in the party. The moderates will take over the party, blaming the religious wackos for the loss. I've read where even now, the moderates are willing to put up with a Kerry administration in order to reorganize and get their party back.
