Flame me if you want but
More and more, with the Falluja airstrikes, with the indiscriminate killings and now with the released photos from the Iraq prison, Americans must, I repeat MUST voice dissent against this war.

We must not be good little silent patriotic germans. It is time to stand up and say NO MORE! It is time to recognize that this fiasco is creating far more dangers in the world than Saddam could ever of dreamed of.

It is time for John Kerry to publicly state that he would sign America onto the international criminal court. It is time for Bush and company to be held for war crimes and crimes against peace. Voting him out is good, but it is not good enough. Restoring international credibility and ACCOUNTABILITY must also be addressed. And it must come from within.

Ok, I'm done ranting now, flame away......

5. Nothing to flame, I agree...

I just don't think Kerry is going to do it. I don't think anyone will do it until we are knocked on our ass.

The ability of Americans to delude themselves is amazing...so amazing that putting Saddam's thugs back in power is seen as some sort of victory.

But on the war, you are correct. Many of us said that from the beginning. And after voting the Bushistas out, along with restoring credibility and accountability, Dubya should be sent to stand trial as a war criminal.

forth a plan to get us out of it.

I hear Gen Clark and Kerry saying we are there now and we must win?

Why?

My plan is to pull our troops back to safe zones. Let each town set up it's leaders. Let those leaders form a government. Slowly send our troops home. Pay for the mess we created.

I remember another country that was in a similar predicament. There were 13 individual colonies and they were forced to house enemy soldiers and they fought a war of insurgency against the invading country's army.

The colonies formed an army, defeated the invading army and them wrote a declaration of independence and formed a government.

16. hehehe, those are big flames alright....
Ok. I thought there would be those that would insist that we should simply concentrate on getting him out of office and be happy at that.
I thought that there would be those that would say this is too radical, or that I was giving comfort to the enemy....along that line.....you know treasonous, traitorous sort of thing.....

We can no longer afford to be silent. Silence somehow equates into assent, and that is something I cannot morally accept. I mean, we expect all the other nations of the world to behave by a certain standard and we cannot even uphold the very same standard.

Oops, started ranting again......
