Remember when CNN was a fairly good network?
i do. maybe i'm deluded, but it seemed like it anyway, way back at the beginning of the bushwar one. ted turner owned it i think, and he's a radical leftist of sorts. i only watch it now the same way the french resistance watched nazi propaganda, to hear exactly the opposite of what they say. it's totally owned, part and parcel by 'them'.

right before bushwar two broke out, cnn canned a bunch of folks and veered hard right to compete with fox, and msnbc. cnn totally lost all credibility, and i believe only the nazi element has stayed on.

almost all the original faces are gone, and the dropped about half the old anchorpeople. it's amazing and startling how fast they were assimilated by the republiborg.

1. It was.
When Ted Turner ran it. He's nobodies fool.

Once the mergers started, it went to shit.

2. Ted hired certified journalists from both sides of the
political spectrum. Now there are the glamour pusses who will repeat anything put in front of them and the hard RWingers who are there to spread propaganda for the GOP.

3. The Time Warner / AOL Merger didn't help either
The old Turner Broadcasting is no longer ... The cool kids came in and turned things upside down. Assimilated like the Borg ....

4. I remember when....
It is so frustrating to get into an argument with someone about media bias and have them hold CNN up as an example of left-wing media bias. Clearly the change happened when Turner left.
